Creative science communication workshops for PhD students, with Science & You – Apply now!
Science board games or blogs? Drawing your research or dancing it? Science photography, theater or…clowning?! Such are the choices you will have to make at the Science & You PhD Study Days! For three days leading up to the international science communication conference in June 2015, Science & You will offer free workshops to 150 PhD students on the art and many styles of popularizing their research. Learn more about it – applications are due 17 November!
Thirty trainers – professionals in each science popularization “tool” – will accompany 150 PhD candidates through their choice of workshops from the 12 available.
“Can you explain your research to your grandmother?” the Science & You video asks. “A funder? A recruiter?” These things are important and can make the difference for the future of your scientific career, as well as society’s ability to benefit from what you do.
